At SportsShooter.com I found a very interesting section SportsShooter.com: Student Portfolio. This section is dedicated to a contenst of student portfolio, as you already may guessed. The most important part is though not the pictures, which are very interesting by itself. But the comments, which are posted by professional photojournalists and sport photographers. By reading those comments and evaluating the photographs you may learn a great deal. So, I would really recommend to take a look and add the link to your bookmarks.
I decided to straighten things up in my website and the first is to separate the content from the style, which means that I am going to use Cascade Style Sheets (CSS). This will allow me to manege the style without affecting the content. And I would have to do it only once, the whole website then would change it appearance. Isn't it cool?
Well I started with the articles and now I am making them nicer and be compatible with handheld devices, such as palm pilots, pocket PC and simial stuff. While I am doing it here is the list with a few interesting things to learn about design:
And if you long for more, here is a great page with many many links to other sources. Meanwhile I am back to cleaning up the mess under the pages of my website.

Bokeh is a Japanese word - the transliteration of a Japanese word for "blur" - describing the subjective aesthetic quality of out-of-focus areas of an image projected by a camera lens.
Here are a couple of articles that can explain this in details:
A few interesting topics at Zuga forum.
In this first thread Mark Hamilton explains how he approaches portrait photography of a young lady on a beach under the direct sun. Read more detail in Zuga.net Forums - Lets Hit The Beach! More Photographing In Mid-day Sun.
Another thread started by Mark is about Formal Bridal Portrait - Getting The Exposure Perfect. In this thread he describes the setup he used for lighting a wedding couple in the church.
In thread Wedding Image: Outdoor Double Profile Mark describes how he managed to take a nice photograph of another wedidng couple outdoors in direct sun.
Just to provide another source of information on basic studio lighting - Zuga forum. In this thread you will see examples of light patterns and interesting details which you should pay attention to. If you are interested I covered similar topic in one of my articles here.
When we find something interesting and useful, which we want to return to and share with others, it will be posted here. It could be about composition, digital effects, photoshop, photography business or links to interesting websites.
