Sole proprietorships. A sole proprietorship is an unin corporated business that is owned by one individual. It is the simplest form of business organization to start and maintain. The business has no existence apart from you, the owner. Its liabilities are your personal liabilities. You undertake the risks of the business for all assets owned, whether or not used in the business. You include the income and expenses of the business on your personal tax return.

I've read in the article of Dan Heller that LLC is not the best choice for photography business. And I have received a piece of advice to start with a C Corporation. Especially it is good for starting a business, when you don't foresee any income from the business (and the time to be in a loss is not limited), so you can give yourself a salary or bonus when necessary, instead of taking the profit from the company. The act of taking the profit from the company is called "distribution" (as I learned) and is a subject to taxes, so you have to pay taxes when the company "gives" it somebody and you have to pay taxes as receiving income. And there is a way to convert the Corporation to a S or C type and back only once, so there is always a chance to work as S Corporation when you start with C Corporation.
At this point I am not sure, but there could be drawbacks of the amount of fees to pay when you create a C Corporation (it could be bigger then with S Corp).
